Born on February 1, 1943, son of Afranio Affonso Ferreira and Silvia Amoroso Lima Affonso Ferreira. Bachelor of Law Degree from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP).
He worked for Professor José Frederico Marques, and later became a partner of Professor Marques. He joined Dr. José Rubens Machado de Campos at Ferreira e Campos Lawyers and worked at this law firm until he founded Manuel Alceu Affonso Ferreira Lawyers – the former corporate name of Affonso Ferreira Lawyers – of which he is a shareholding partner. Representing the São Paulo Section, he was a member of the Federal and State Councils (2 tenures) of the Brazilian Bar Association. He was also a member of the São Paulo Lawyers Association – AASP. He was Associate Professor in Civil Procedure Law at PUC-SP, Secretary of State for Justice (1991/1993), Tenured Judge of the Regional Election Court of São Paulo (2 tenures), and alternate member of the Social Communication Council, the auxiliary body of the Federal Senate. As representative of the Brazilian Bar Association, he participated in the Competition Commissions for admission to the State Bench, the Federal Bench and the Public Prosecution Office of São Paulo. He is a member of the City of São Paulo Academy of Law, of the Brazilian Institute of Public Law – IBDP, of the Brazilian Institute of Election Law – IBDE, of the Defense Law Defense Institute – IDDD and of the Pro Bono Institute. In addition, he is a member of the Deliberative Council of the Institute of Lawyers of São Paulo – IASP, of the Superior Council of Juridical and Legislative Affairs of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo – FIESP and of the Center for Strategic and Advanced Studies of the Center of Industries of the State of São Paulo – CIESP. He is holder of the following distinguished awards: Mérito Judiciário, of the Upper Court of Justice of São Paulo, and Minister Pedro Lessa, of the Federal Regional Court of the 3rd Region and the City of São Paulo Military Court of Justice. He is the author of several articles, studies and prefaces, as well as co-author of several papers.

He was President of Helvetia Polo Country Club, located in Indaiatuba/SP, of which he is currently general counsel. He was a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahema S.A.. He was Counselor of the Association of Parents and Teachers of Colégio Santa Cruz. Since 1988, he has been a member of the Affonso Ferreira Advogados team, having become a partner in 1999.
PhD in Civil Law (2021) and holds a Master’s Degree in Economic and Financial Law (2002) from the University of São Paulo and specialization in Tax Law from the University Extension Center (CEU). Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of São Paulo (class of 1995). Intern at the Brazilian Antitrust Authority – CADE (July 1999). He coordinated the Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Brazilian Association A Hebraica (2004/2005), on whose Advisory Council he has been sitting for several tenures. Member of the Special Committee for Freedom of the Press of the Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo Section, from 2019 to 2021 and, in a new new term, from 2022. Author of book chapters as well as articles in legal journals. Since 1995, he has been a member of the Affonso Ferreira Advogados team, having become a partner in 1999.
Bachelor of Law Degree from the Universidade Paulista – UNIP (class of 2002), specialization course in Corporate Law (Fundação Getulio Vargas – FGV Direito SP) and in Real Estate Law (Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas). He was a member of the Association of Young Lawyers of the São Paulo Institute of Lawyers – IASP. Since 2003, he has been a member of the Affonso Ferreira Advogados team, having become a partner in 2007.
Bachelor of Law Degree from the Universidade Paulista (Class of 2009). She undertook the Training Course in Mediation at Instituto Vertus in 2017. Since 2006, she has been a member of the Affonso Ferreira Advogados team, having become a partner in 2010.
